It’s ready to take whatever the road can throw at it - with a rigid body and wide track wheelbase, coupled with corner-hugging McPherson-type front suspension and an entirely new rear suspension with a deformable cross member. This combination minimises vibration while maximising road-holding, and delivers the legendary ride and handling you’d expect from Peugeot.

Engineering

With a comprehensive range of advanced European designed engines and transmissions, from petrol to HDi turbo diesel, and manual to Tiptronic automatic, the new 207 promises a dynamic and intense experience for any driver.

Our 1.6 & 1.6 turbo petrol engines come with progressive technology such as variable valve timing and a variable inlet valve lift system to ensure a refined and satisfying drive. Designed in collaboration between PSA Peugeot & the BMW Group, you can be assured they deliver exceptional performance. Our HDi diesel engines offer advanced features such as 16 valves, high pressure common-rail direct injection and a variable boost turbo charger for effortless rolling acceleration performance while simultaneously minimising fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

207 XR.

The perfect place to set the wheels in motion for an enduring affair with the road. The 207 XR 3-door hatch comes with an efficient 1.4 litre engine coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Or choose the XR 5-door, with a 1.4 litre 16-valve engine and 5-speed manual gearbox.

207 XT.

The 207 XT offers a choice of a 5-door petrol or economical HDi turbo diesel. The 16-valve, 1.6 litre petrol engine, producing 88kW of power, has either a 5-speed manual or Tiptronic automatic gearbox. Or for amazing fuel economy, performance and environmental peace of mind, choose the 1.6 litre, 80kW HDi turbo diesel engine with a 5-speed manual. Available in hatch & Touring.

207 GTi.

Behind the wheel of the 207 GTi, you’ll instantly sense its proud and passionate rally lineage. Plant the accelerator and a 1.6 litre, 128kW, twin-scroll turbo direct injection petrol engine (designed in collabaration between PSA Peugeot and the BMW Group) propels you from 0-100 km/h in an impressive 7.1 seconds. Little wonder it was awarded the 2007 International Engine of the Year in its class. Coupled with Peugeot’s rally-bred handling with corner hugging independent front and rear suspension, Macpherson-type struts, helical springs, hydraulic dampers and 17” alloys, the 207 GTi will take whatever the road throws at it.

Take your eyes off the bitumen and you’ll be just as captivated by the GTi’s sporty features. The sports performance bucket seats, leather-bound steering wheel, drilled aluminium pedals and chromed gear lever roar performance almost as profoundly as the engine.
