The 4007 is instantly recognisable as a Peugeot. The front end with its familiar wide mouth grille, designed by the Peugeot Style Centre, underlines the sturdy, sporty nature of the car. Front

Rear

5 to 7 seats

The 4007 is available in both 5 and 7* seat configuration.
The middle row of seats take three comfortably, with a flexible layout. Need extra legroom? The seats slide back by up to 80mm. Time for a break? You can recline the backrests. Want extra space? They can fold forward effortlessly or split 60/40 to make way for extra luggage.
The two third row seats, complete with headrest and three-point seatbelts, are neatly hidden in the boot floor, ready for when you need them to take extra passengers.

Trim

The fully adjustable front sports seats are comfortable and supportive for any type of journey. On the SV, both front seats are heated and the driver's seat is electrically adjustable.
The ST comes with woven 'diamond' black cloth seats while the SV comes standard with black leather trim.

Create the perfect atmosphere whatever the weather outside thanks to the climate control air conditioning system with pollen and dust filters.
The upper glove box is also air conditioned to help keep your drinks and snacks cool.

Cruise control

Just set a speed and the cruise control will keep you on it without the need to touch the accelerator or the brake. It's the easy way to stay within legal limits without having to keep an eye on the speedometer. The cruise control function is operated via buttons on the steering wheel.

Storage spaces

We've made every inch of the huge cabin space count. You'll appreciate the way we've paid attention to making sure there are enough pockets and stow-away areas to ensure everything's got a place and nothing's forgotten. Handy compartments are built into the dashboard, the glovebox, the armrests, and if you've got more bits and pieces, you'll find there are pockets in the doors, a sunglasses case and cup holders on the dash and by the rear seats.

Leading this charge is the innovative 'on-demand' 4-wheel drive system that turns slippery slopes into fun hill-climbs, standing water becomes a temptation to make a splash, or to save fuel in 2-wheel drive mode on 'boring' roads.

4WD system

Let's face it, there are times when you simply don't need a 4 wheel drive system. That's why we've equipped the 4007 with an innovative 'on-demand' 4 wheel drive system.
In normal operating mode (4WD) the torque distribution between front and rear axles is automatically controlled, giving you optimal road holding regardless of road conditions.
Roads are dry and safe? You can save on fuel by selecting the refined 2WD (front wheel drive) with one twist of the dial between the front seats.
Braving the snow, or heading off road into sand dunes or muddy fields? Select the 4 wheel drive lock mode and you'll be in permanent all-wheel drive with 50/50 front to rear torque distribution. Giving you all the extra traction you're likely to need, particularly at low speeds.

Electric folding rear seats

In need of extra boot space? At the touch of a button located in the boot, the middle row seats will be automatically folded forward* giving you an exceptional 1691 litres of space for super-sized loads.

Rear park assist

The Electronic Parking Assistance detects any obstacles and informs you of them with an audible signal. The sound intensifies and becomes constant when you are within 30cm from the obstacle. The system is backed up by a visual aid on the instrument panel which also helps you avoid those unfortunate bumps.

Auto headlights and wipers

The automatic front windscreen wipers activate when they detect the first drops of rain and adapt their speed if it gets heavier. The automatic headlights switch themselves on when your car senses darkness. Letting you focus on the road.

Xenon headlights

The Xenon headlights fitted to the SV give off a brighter, whiter light twice the intensity of a standard halogen globe. Producing a much wider beam, they use less power and last longer, reduce eye fatigue and pick out colours more clearly.
The spray from wet, muddy roads can lead to a build up of grime on your headlights. The SV's headlight washers will keep them clean so the road ahead is always brilliantly lit at night.

DCS (dual clutch system) automatic

The intelligent new DCS (Dual Clutch System) automatic gearbox gives the 4007 a new level of dynamism by combining all that a manual gearbox has to offer in terms of better efficiency, robustness and driving pleasure with the automatic gearbox’s advantages in terms of ease of use, smoothness and speed of gear changes.

Bluetooth

The optional Bluetooth allows you to keep talking and keep your hands on the wheel. Just leave your compatible phone in your pocket or handbag and it connects to the radio via Bluetooth so you can chat away without breaking the law. It can also be controlled via a button on the steering wheel.

HDI diesel engine

The 4007 is available with the latest generation 2.2-litre HDi turbo diesel engine. To ensure driveability and dynamic performance of the highest quality, the engine produces 115kW power and maximum torque of 380Nm - ensuring it can haul heavy loads with ease.

Transmissions

The 4007 is equipped with either a slick 6 speed manual gearbox or the intelligent new 6 speed DCS (Dual Clutch System) automtic.
This DCS gearbox gives the 4007 a new level of dynamism by combining all that a manual gearbox has to offer in terms of better efficiency, robustness and driving pleasure with the automatic gearbox’s advantages in terms of ease of use, and smoothness and speed of gear changes.

Its cargo area space is cavernous, with 589 litres of useable space under the luggage cover with the second row of seats upright. Take the cover off and fold the second row seats forward for an exceptional 1691 litres of space. The split tailgate can take up to 200kg and the load sill height is only 60cm.

Advanced brakes

The sophisticated, new-generation ABS with EBFD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) and EBA (Emergency Brake Assist) is standard across the range.
EBFD controls braking wheel by wheel for greater efficiency, particularly when braking in corners.
EBA automatically applies more braking force in the event of sudden braking to increase the efficiency of your braking.

ESP

On today's roads, it's vital that you're in control at all times. Which is why the 4007 is equipped with the very latest Electronic Stability Program (ESP) which combines DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) and Traction Control (ASR).
DSC works to keep the 4007 stable in any situation by controlling the brake force and limiting the engine power to individual wheels, correcting over and understeer automatically to ensure you can hold your line whatever the road conditions.
ASR constantly monitors the 4007’s traction, managing the engine and the braking system to prevent wheel slip and improve performance during acceleration, on corners or hills.

Airbags

The most important element of the Peugeot 4007 is you and your passengers, which is why the vehicle surrounds you with a protective cocoon in the event of an accident with 6 airbags as standard.
The five 3-point seatbelts are each equipped with a load limiter. The front seatbelts are also pre-tensioning. Rear seat child restraint anchorage points ensure a secure fit for a child car safety seat.
Whichever way you look at it, the 4007 is a pretty tough customer.

Passenger safety cell

That’s why the 4007’s bodyshell is designed to deflect and absorb crash energy, safeguarding everyone inside in the event of an accident.
And in case the impact comes from the side, you’ll be relieved to know that the side panels have been specially reinforced to withstand the brunt of the impact.

The diesel engine fitted to the 4007 is in keeping with Peugeot's policy aiming to reduce engine capacity and fuel consumption without compromising on performance. The FAP particle filter traps harmful particles of carbon, thus reducing particulate emissions to barely measurable levels.

HDI diesel technology

Peugeot's diesel engine technology, HDi FAP, means you can have a less polluting diesel engine that doesn't sacrifice power for improved fuel economy.
It's an important part of our future and that of the environment. The result? Fewer harmful emissions, greater fuel economy and surprising performance.

FAP particle filter

Every diesel engine generates particles. At Peugeot, we should know. Because we pioneered the use of particulate filters (FAP) in our diesels.
FAP reduces particle emissions to barely measurable levels before they can escape into the environment.
It works by trapping and burning these particles, which combine to form soot. What's more, the FAP particle filter is self cleaning and is virtually maintenance free, all without spoiling the performance of your 4007 HDi.

Consumption and emissions

Peugeot is committed to developing technologies to reduce both fuel consumption and emissions.
Our 2.2 HDi turbo diesel engine has a combined fuel consumption of just 7.2 l/100km with the manual transmission. That gets you over 830km from its 60 litre tank. Impressive figures normally not associated with an SUV.
And our advanced DCS automatic transmission produces similar fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to the manual, with all the benefits of an automatic.

Fuel economy world records

Peugeot is the proud holder of two Guinness World Records for fuel economy, both set using HDi diesel technology in the harsh Australian conditions.
Our first world record is the furthest distance travelled on a single tank - 2,348km (Melbourne to Rockhampton) from a 70 litre tank.
Our second record, breaking the record we already held, is for round Australia fuel economy. We travelled 14,580km averaging just 3.13 l/100km from the 1.6 HDi engine.

Recycling

Worried about landfil? So are we. That's why at least 90% of every new Peugeot is now recyclable, including the metals, glass, fluids, plastic materials and rubber. And we're well on the way to creating the fully recyclable car.

Carbon sink project

Our commitment to the environment extends beyond our cars.
In 1998, we set up a major ecological sponsorship by helping to create a 'carbon sink' (an area of plant life specifically set aside and developed to absorb atmospheric CO2) in the Amazon. Over 2 million trees representing 50 different species have been planted, which will allow scientists to study the relationship between reforestation, absorption of CO2 and climate control.
Operation Carbon reflects the determination to fight as directly and effectively as possible against the increasing greenhouse effect.
