Exterior

Active Safety

It's reassuring to know that in the event of an accident the 207 is equipped with a host of safety features. The Electronic Stability Program* (ESP) detects any movement in the chassis which might cause you to lose control of the vehicle and automatically corrects the stability. Add to this ventilated discs in the front, large drum brakes (XR) or rear disc brakes (XT, XE, GT, GTi) behind, the new-generation ABS with EBFD (Electronic Brake Distribution) and EBA (Emergency Brake Assist) and it's easy to see that when it comes to safety, the 207 has real stopping power.

Passive Safety

The most important element of the Peugeot 207 is you and your passengers, which is why the vehicle surrounds you with a protective cocoon in the event of an accident. Two front airbags (all models), two side airbags* and two full length curtain airbags* will be deployed when necessary. The five 3-point seatbelts are each equipped with a load limiter and are pre-tensioning. The front seatbelts are also height-adjustable. Rear seat child restraint anchorage points ensure a secure fit for a child car safety seat. The Peugeot 207 thinks of everything and everyone.

Road Handling

From the pseudo McPherson-type front suspension with anti-roll bars to the rear suspension with deformable cross member, the hydraulic shock absorbers to the 15", 16" or 17" tyre mount, every detail has been carefully crafted to optimise road handling. The speed sensitive electric power steering offers the ideal compromise between extreme driving precision on the road and exceptional manoeuvrability for city driving and parking.

Petrol Engines

The 207 offers a wide variety of choice, with 5 petrol engines available to choose from.

The Peugeot 207 engines offer exceptional performance in terms of torque and acceleration while keeping noise levels to a minimum. Two 1.4-litre engines are available, plus a 1.6-litre and two 1.6-litre turbo engines, which were born out of a partnership between PSA Peugeot and the BMW Group. The direct injection 1.6l engines with a low-pressure twin-scroll turbocharger, found in the 207 GT (110kW) and the GTi (128kW), offer exhilerating performance with high maximum torque available from extremely low revs, virtually eliminating any turbo lag.

HDi Diesel

Adding to your choice is the availability of an HDi diesel engine inthe 207. Our 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox offers striking performance with high torque and a low-pressure turbocharger, amazing fuel economy which means you won't have to fill up nearly as much as you're used to, and a feel good factor thanks to lower emissions and the FAP particle filter. The Peugeot 207 has always been 'fun to the power of 207'. With the release of the latest transmission technology, the EGC Electronic Gearbox Control available in the 207 XR 1.4 5 door model, the level of fun has been enhanced even further!

With the fitment of this electronically controlled manual gearbox the 207 now benefits from both intelligent and useful technology, removing the traditional clutch pedal. Now drivers can opt for a sporty, rewarding driving experience by emulating their favourite rally, Le Mans or F1 stars by changing gears via either the sequential gear lever or steering wheel paddles. Or, for a more relaxed drive, drivers can switch at any time to the completely automatic mode.

With this choice, the 207 with EGC is designed to make day to day driving as easy as possible through our 'urban jungles'.

And there's also the added benefits of improved fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions compared to a standard manual transmission.

Dual zone air

At all times the dual-zone* air-conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to control their temperature settings separately. The system is equipped with pollen, dust and odour filters. Best of all it has a sun sensor which anticipates the effect of strong sunlight and adjusts the air conditioning accordingly. The externally controlled compressor also helps to reduce fuel consumption. XR and XT models come with air conditioning as standard.

Panoramic glass roof

The 207's fragrance diffuser* offers you a unique sensory experience, discreetly integrated into the dashboard. The scents have been developed by olfactory experts from the fragrance industry. The cartridges are easily interchangeable and allow you to change the scent as you wish. Six fragrances are already available from the Peugeot network.

Satellite navigation

RT4 Multimedia System More than just satellite navigation, the RT4* multimedia system gives voice to your 207: it is equipped with a 30GB hard disk to store the mapping software, an MP3 compatible CD reader, a hands-free GSM telephone, a GPS satellite navigation system, a 10GB audio Jukebox function, an emergency call service and localised roadside assistance. All the Audio and Multimedia functions of the RT4* can be accessed with a 3D 16/9 colour screen that is built into the dashboard, as well as controls on the steering column stalk and voice recognition.

207 XR

Have a closer look at the 207 XR. It's the perfect place to start or reignite your love affair with the road. Available in both 3 and 5 door versions, the XR 3 door comes with an economical 1.4-litre 55 kW engine linked to a 5 speed manual transmission. For more practicality and power, the XR 5 door comes with a 1.4-litre, 16-valve 65kW engine and a 5 speed manual transmission.

207 XT

Available as a 5 door, the 207 XT comes with a sporty 1.6-litre engine producing 88kW of power. Transmission is a choice between a 5 speed manual and 4 speed Tiptronic automatic.

207 XT HDi

Peugeot is offering an HDi diesel for the first time in the '20' series. For amazing fuel economy, performance and environmental piece of mind, the 1.6-litre HDi turbo diesel with a 5 speed manual transmission is for you. Available exclusively in the spacious 5 door hatch.

207 XE

207 GT
